Voice Sheet

Security & data ownership

Voice Sheet never connects to your bank, processes your voice on your device, and stores every entry in a Google Sheet you own — not in our database. The safest place for your financial data is a spreadsheet only you control, and that's exactly where it stays.

No bank linking — ever

Voice Sheet has no bank-connection feature. You never hand over bank credentials, and no aggregator sits between the app and your accounts. You log expenses yourself, by voice, note, or form.

Your data lives in your Google Sheet

Every entry is written to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive. There is no Voice Sheet server database holding a copy of your transactions — delete the app and your full history is still yours.

Voice is processed on your device

Speech-to-text runs locally on your phone; audio recordings never leave it. Only the transcribed text is sent to Google's Gemini API to extract the amount, merchant, and category.

Minimal Google access, revocable anytime

Sign-in uses Google's standard OAuth 2.0 with only the scopes needed for the sheets you authorize. The token stays on your device — even we can't use it — and you can revoke access from your Google Account settings at any time.

Encrypted in transit

All communication with Google's APIs — Sheets, Drive, and Gemini — is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.

No selling, trading, or renting data

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. Data is shared only with the Google services that provide the app's core functionality.
